Have seen too many intelligent, fascinating, worldly girlfriends protest 'I am clueless about finance'. I beg to differ and we're an incredibly important force in markets. We are the ones who built Facebook while men teased us for taking so many pictures at Nobu. It's our much ridiculed need to connect/ socialize/ gossip/ shop/ crave that makes companies, and even economies run (imagine China without Lady's Apparel).
