Diamonds are for-profit...

Great weekend after a week of shockingly bad weather.  Thankfully weather Gods took mercy on HK and Sunday was beautiful.  The thing about such bad weather is that you spend a lot of time talking about the weather.  Other drawback of bad weather in HK is that you get trapped (mostly in a shopping mall).

Brings me to my next point.  I, myself, found myself in some mischief as I went to visit my friend Jada Lam at her shop Wai Kee Jewelers located in the Prince's Building.  Rarely do I disclose names but I have to here because she's the best bling purveyor ever!  Helpful (but not pushy), infinitely tasteful and extremely market savvy.  Interesting I use market savvy here but I think it's an important quality to look for in your jeweler.  Jada is a Columbia educated former banker who advised me to binge on bling years ago.  This weekend I was pleasantly surprised to see that it's turned out to be a great investment.   And  many experts think diamond prices will continue to rise.  Going to wrap it up here as (unlike Jada) I'm no expert.  Also, I'm worried this post won't be particularly popular with my few male readers.  However, frankly I do think it's important to know your partner's view on Diamonds.
