Korean Food goes viral?!?!

Mixed weekend for us here in HK.  Spanish banks getting a Eur100b loan will be well received.  However, still too early to celebrate with the June 17 Greek election looking pretty unpredictable.

Moreover, what a frustrating weekend in terms of weather!  After a beautiful week of blue skies, it rained all weekend.  Super Annoying!  Particularly as shopping right now is explicitly forbidden (doesn't fit into the Austerity plan!).  Anyway I took shelter in my kitchen and did quite a bit of experimenting with Korean food.  I'm predicting Korean fare to be the next cuisine craze and I want to be prepared.  Already recognized as a fun, flavorful, and easily share-able cuisine, but I think there's room for it to be the 'next cuisine.'  Best thing about Korean is that it has plenty of room to move away from the grilling station (and 32nd Street) into a more modern format.  It's already integrated flawlessly into the Mexican food binge (Kimchee Tacos are delicious!) and it's just the beginning.  Thinking along the lines of  a Kimchee and Pancetta Paella, Bulgogi beef sliders, cold spicy octopus salad served on top of buckwheat noodles..list goes on!  Yummy!  Watch this space - It's happening!
